Does anyone still read this?

Allocations were announced recently...

Open
North 1
South 5
East 4
West 2
NZ 1
AFDA - allocated to U19 team
Wildcards 2 (Based on Regional participation)

Women
North 1
South 4
East 4
West 2
NZ 2
AFDA - allocated to U19 team
Wildcards 2 (Based on Regional participation)

Suck it, East region.

So some very very early thoughts on who will qualify...
North - Firestorm
South - Chilly A, HoS, Karma, Chilly B and (choose from the following) HoS B\Tassie\Evolution
East - Fyshwick, Sydney Elite, I-Beam, Fakulti
West - Sublime, maybe Happy Pig?
NZ - who knows (WUCC prep?)

East will probably get at least 1 wildcard, and the second will be a scrap between East, South and North. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Nationals debut of Hills and Slamtown this year.

North - Black Betty
South - STBAU, Honey, Indies, Bush
East - Wildcard (x2?), Sugar Mags, some incarnation of Southside, Factory Girls
West - Primal, Kaos
NZ - anyone? (they tend to appear every even year)

East will probably get both wildcards, opening the door for Hills. South could steal a wildcard if they get more players at Regionals, but that'll be a struggle being in Hobart.

Slamtown probably unlikely at this point. They're getting sorted, but it's unlikely they'll be able to convince enough players to go to Adelaide, I think. Maybe not, though - definitely wouldn't write them off yet. If they managed to get a full strength team there, I think they'd quietly impress a few people.

Still waiting to find out what's going to come out of the Sydney women this year...

Word on the street is that Primal isn't heading to Adeliade this year. Kaos is definately sending a team and may be a women's Happy Pig from Perth as well.

At the moment the women's teams in the East are Southside, Sugar Mags, Hills/Manly (combo), Wildcard, Sydney World Clubs team and Canberra women (assume Factory Girls).  So, that is 6 teams for those 4 spots.  I assume some wildcards will be available.

No NZ Teams coming (Playing WUCC tourneys on East Coast)

This will  mean 4 wildcards in Women and 3 in Open

So some very very early thoughts on who will qualify...
North - Firestorm
South - Chilly A, HoS, Karma, Chilly B and (choose from the following) HoS B\Tassie\Evolution
East - Fyshwick, Sydney Elite, I-Beam, Fakulti,
West - Sublime, maybe Happy Pig?

Wildcards Masters, Sydney B

North - Black Betty
South - STBAU, Honey, Indies, Bush,SA#2??,Honey B?
East - Wildcard (x2?), Sugar Mags, Southside, Factory Girls,Hills/Manly
West - Kaos,Happy Miss Piggies

Qualifying in the East looks a bit hard at the moment...

As far as I know people looking to qualify in the East are:  Colony (Sydney elite) x 2, Fyshwick, I-Beam, Eastern Greys (Masters team), Fakulti, Umlaut and maybe Hills?

With the girls having: Wildcard x2, Southside, Sugar Mags, Factory Girls and Sandunes (hills + manly).

So that's potentially 8 teams going for 4 spots (at least one afda spot though) in guys, and 6 teams going for 4 spots (at least one afda spot too?) in womens.  Eastern Regionals should be pretty interesting.
