Hey guys! Just wondering about some ideas and different ways to train to become a handler.  Anything you can come up with would most definitely help!  Thanks!

1. Work on your throws all the time so that you are comfortable throwing all of them with a mark whenever needed. Also practice pivoting to create space from the mark to make your throws easier.
2. Play as a handler every chance you can, pickup, practice, wherever.
3. Watch more experienced handlers when your not playing so you can learn what they are doing, how and when they cut.
4. Gaurd handlers on defense, same reasons as previous tip.

Do a drill that will teach you to throw a break.

For instance, breakmark come to. This drill is the same as come to but the cutter is on the break side.
-1 thrower, 1 marker, 1 cutter (obviously you have more people but these are the active during the drill)
-marker forces forehand
-cutter cuts on throwers backhand side (starting at other line of people and runs straight at consistent speed)
-thrower fakes until they get an open look (be sure to practice throwing both backhand wraps and IO forehands)

Doing things like this really opened up my field vision and gave me more confidence with the disc.
