With the new rebranding/new website, the USA Ultimate site now has official forums:  http://boards.usaultimate.org/forum.php

It is probably against your interests, but I think you should throw your support towards those forums for US and general/strategy/rules talk.  Ultitalk could focus more exclusively on Australasia content (since that seems to be the vast bulk of the content already), but it would be nice for the USA Ultimate forums to grow and become the main stage for US ultimate discussion.
