I was once a part of a layout clinic up in Vancouver put on by a veteran Ultimate player whose name now escapes me. She's been in the scene for years (is over in GB now playin for Iceni), and really has her stuff down pat. She's known for her excellent layout form and has kindly put together a pseudo layout clinic, complete with example layouts (good and bad - dos and don'ts) on video, as well as training in the park (on a slip n' slide no less).
Anyway, I remember one thing she said about laying out sideways. As you're doing it, as soon as your objective is accomplished (i.e. you blocked or caught the disc) your non-laying out arm should ABRUPTLY become level with your body. In doing so, it will automatically pull your body back around so that you can land on your chest / stomach. Something to do with physics, of which I was never an A+ student.

Anyway, a video demonstration would be much more beneficial of course. I wish she would put one together and post it on YouTube or something like that.
I think her name was Anna.

Can any Canucks help me out here?
UPDATE: I just found her. She's in the
BlockStack.tv - Episode #3. Blonde gal who helps coach the GB team.
