a little update about the recent changes of continuously evolving ffindr.com ! It's a while ago that I talked about it here (September 2007, right after the launch of the project), so I quickly remind you what it s all about:

"ffindr is a free service by and for Frisbee people. ffindr intends to concentrate Frisbee event information that is currently spread all around the web, and to give it back to the Frisbee community via powerful search and syndication"

Some key information:

- almost 600 events added in the last 8 month
- around 10.000 page views per month
- available in 5 languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Russian)
- new blog that introduces and discusses new and existing features: http://ffindr.com/en/blog
- personalised filters with RSS output
- seamless integrated of ffindr's event data in any website (see beachultimate.org from next week on)

I'd just like to say that I really appreciate the effort you guys have put into setting up ffindr. After ultilinks went down a year or two ago, there wasn't any international portal for frisbee events and that sucks when you want to grab some disc time while traveling. Thanks for all your efforts I hope I get to enjoy some extra frisbee next time I go overseas

thanks for appreciating ffindr! Don't hesitate to use it also down under (I m not sure if you are aware of the fact that ffindr is not only for tournaments but for any Frisbee event, e.g. training sessions, random games, etc.), so that travellers that actually go to Australia can toss the disc with you guys instead of playing all alone
