Hi there.  First post here.

As I say on my profile, I'm not a very good thrower.  While I know my form could be improved, it seems I have a relatively slow wrist snap.  I'm pretty sure my overall arm strength is sufficient to throw a long way, but I can't generate enough spin for a stable throw that can go anywhere near as far as most guys I play with.  (I'm one of those guys who has never been able to throw a baseball very far, even though I don't really lack arm strength.  Maybe I just don't have a lot of fast-twitch muscles in my forearms.)  Are there exercises I can do to help generate a faster wrist snap?  Of course, I mean exercises that won't damage my wrists either.  I'm mostly looking to just throw far backhand right now, but getting a good snap for forehand throws would be nice too.  Thanks.

the easier and simplest way is to practice... get a friend and tell him to force backhand and throw like 10 consecutive discs (but throw 'em straight) as soon as you can after each other. measure the distance (approximately) and average angle from the throwing point. otherwise you can just watch tv and practice your quick release backhand during the ad breaks.

for the forehand, you might realise that the action is much like snapping a towel with one hand. do the tv drill for the forehand (inside outs are usually easier for quick release). do as you will mate... have fun and gl

Thanks.  However, I'm wondering if anyone does any sort of exercises (such as weight training) of some sort to strengthen the forearm, specifically the wrist.  Does anyone do anything more than just practicing frisbee throws?

Search for 'powerball gyroscope' online.  I believe it's helped me.

Thanks.  Interesting.  Which model do you have or did you use?

I have the basic one as I figured though a rev counter and flashing lights would be nice, I'd save my money.

I got mine on eBay; no doubt there will be other brands.
