Introducing PickupUltimate.com

Ultimate Community --

  I want to tell you about my new website: http://pickupultimate.com.  The site is a Google Map mashup for Ultimate pickup games.  It's basically a big map with markers that represent pickup games.  Game coordinators can add their game to the map and keep it updated with accurate information.  Each game has comments and an RSS feed so people can keep a running commentary about their game and track updates without having to visit the site.

  The site is completely free and will always remain that way.  I created it mainly as a way to give back to the Ultimate community.

  What the site needs now are pickup games.  I am writing this message to try and help spread the word about the site.  If you know anyone who would find this useful I would be grateful if you forwarded this information to them.  The more people who know about the site the more useful it will be.

this is very cool! a person can finaly find pick- up games aroudn their area that are active. i know the UPA website has something similar but the problem is some jsut don't meet up becuase they are old posts. thanks a bunch.

a good start but still needs more people on it. it doesnt require it to be any more updated than the UPA list though.

hey so they got back to me.  They said thanks a lot but they're not gonna use it for the current site.  They are revamping the entire site and are going to incorporate it into the new site.  Sweet stuff man.
