Simon I am amazed at the amount of stuff you give to your new members!

Haha Brett I didn't even read your story originally. I just assumed it was a big pipe about someone making an allegedly bad call, and was trying to slip in a witty comment (trying being the operative word)

But then I read it...

Basically what you are saying is...you got scored on in a hat tournament.
You then made a call that your player was out. After being scored on. In a game where you had already won by five points. In a hat tournament.

On reflection, I can see the other guy's point...

OK this one is a little obscure, but I was watching some mixed doubles tonight and couldn't help but notice Lee Baker out there:

Looks a lot like Paul Hanley - little known Australian tennis player (doubles specialist):

By the way Lee I really wanna meet Ana Ivanovic - can you introduce me? Thanks...

Chilly was A/B at regionals I'm pretty sure, from memory.

Melbourne Hat 2007: My team was leading by 5 or so, and it was final point. My man catches a disc in the endzone, and I am directly behind him and see his first foot land squarely on the sideline. I called him out due to me having far better perspective, and he also became annoyed at me, claiming "we had already won it" and hence should have just called him in. To me that isn't spirited. He even came up to me after the game when I went to shake hands, and personally told me that he thought it was a really bad call and walked off. I've never made a bad call in my life, I call it how I see it, but that's not always how the other player sees it.

name and shame

I would be surprised if the location put people off coming. The facilities are amazing, and with the TOC they have on board you know there'll be a good show.

I also think a lot of people have different ideas about what a 10/10 Spirit Game is.

One example comes to mind for me -  a clear 10/10 game. It was a semi final at SUGs against Adelaide Uni, it was really close and we ended up winning. Shattering for them, probably, but I feel like there was so much respect from both teams towards the opposition. It was a clear 10/10 game because I felt like having sex with everyone on the opposite team right after, there was a lot of love. It was a great game of frisbee to be a part of.

I even said that in the circle - 'I want to have sex with all of you'. I don't think that they were too impressed.

So anyway, if you feel that much love for your opposition after a game (granted, this does not happen often) then I think you are safe to call it a 10/10 spirit game.

OK I have caved to the social media peer pressure - I have signed up with Facebook! I swear I felt like I lost a little part of my soul in that moment, but anyway I'm being a bit of a Friend Whore at the moment so add me if you got some pictures of myself or the Lovers or if you just want to be friends...

Now all I need to work out is how the hell I use this bloody thing...

you won't regret it

LOL I don't do Fackbook... Is there a way to see the photos without signing up to Facebook?

You gotta get on that. So much facebook gold at the moment. I think if you are an Australian ultimate player and you ain't on facebook you are missing out on some pure quality.

I am after some information from the locals.

Where are all the good nightclubs on the gold coast? Are there any? By good I mean they play some decent music, I'm not after anything special here, just definitely no Bon Jovi, and preferably not Ministry of Sound volume 38, but something a little more 'underground' perhaps.

Any tips? In all likelihood I will be just rockin it with my team and all the other frisbee people, but I tend to tire of the official AUG's parties - each to their own of course. I wouldn't mind some other options just in case i decide to get a little more 'adventurous'.

Not long now!!!
