Chris you still astound me at the length at which your messages can be. Do you put this much effort in to your studies. Or should you change course to Frisbee, with a mahor in smack talk.

Hey dave, As the captain of kanggamoose you have to set the example. I am not against drinking, if people want to do it fine, but underages, no. At the biggest junior frisbee meet to date, HELL NO!!! I played you guys tonight (social league, RMIT top, dont get in the car with strangers) and you guys played good, and your girls can run like the wind, but a captain needs to be on the field, and not beeing able to play because your hungover, injured from a drunken accident, whatever, its just not good for the team. What you need to be is their leader, hence the role of captain... (you do have a legitimate excuss for not playing, i was just using examples)

Robbie. As for alcohol in general, it is only bad for you if you have too much, 300ml of beer a day/one glass of wine is actually more benificial then nothing. It helps lower your blood pressure and significantly decreases the chance of many diseases. It is only in the wrong/unknowing hands (such as minors) that it is dangerous. Dont be too quick to judge, but i think you have a better stance then those who drink more alcohol then water.

stupid aussie question but when is thanks giving??

Personally i think october november are the best bets, avoiding thanksgiving just for the fact that some people like to celebrate it.

umm, i'm not actually sure whether that last post made any sense.

blaming stupid pathology study...

pathology study aint mind numbing, working in pathology is...

and tassie aint too bad, not somewhere i could live permenantly but i could stay for a year or so.

Late November is probably your best bet. With Mixed Nats so early (again) there's a big void of tournaments between Mixed Nats and Melbourne Hat.

I would have to agree, but say november in general.

I just went to the bulla site to get more info, http://www.beachultimate.org/blog/wcbu_2007_news/ and it has all the costs, cheaper if we get everything done before july 30th (not to sure that will happen), and some cheap accomodation. I saw some cheap flights on air china for $1200 but there is talk of combining the event with a short tour in another country, ie north america, etc.

i think this might be the appropriate forum to talk up tassie for this year. you schleps won't know what's hit you!

if all your chicks are strong, and you're only playing 4-3, there MUST be mismatching right? you oughta see the roster...

mwah, mwah, mwah!   Cheesy

Don't often here from the tassie's, though maybe they are selectively breeding the ultimate team whilst everyone has their backs turned. Go tassie, bring it all.

So has any new information come up about the worlds in brazil. And any info on the aus teams?
24  Regional / Australasia / Re: Beach Ultimate on: June 18, 2007, 09:54:12 PM
Personally i think that Beach Ultimate, for Nationals or worlds, should not be univeristy based but rather open, like pagonella, etc. If Uni teams wanna join fine but focussing on them would just limit the success in the future. Like everyone has already stated, we can only realistically start small, then work our way into the world scene. The biggest trouble may come with dates for the event. Clshing it with another big tournament would make it almost impossible to get quality, ie. cant do first weekend in december due to Melbourne hat. I think it would be good in january or something.

I know that world Beach ultimate is on this december, and having a tournament before them would be great for the team giving them a chance to practice, but realistically organising this would prove troublesome. I do agree that the best place for this type of tournament would definantly be the gold coast as it is world renound for its beaches, and face it who doesnt wanna be at the gold coast during that time of year.

And i think that uni talk should stay in a uni forum, trust me i have many complaints about my uni.

Its hilarious to watch you guys go at it, makes you wonder if you do it at the games, or if your just whimps and only do it on the net.

figures, most little kids are annoying, lol, though its funny to watch you guys go at it.

Lol, well a steady income definantly helps raise the money, or you could just pimp yourself out.

Personally i would budget $5000, beacuse i would rather have too much money whilst i'm over there then have to scrounge around. And $5000 is cheap considering most holidays nowadays.

28  Regional / Australasia / Re: UNI Games Tiering debate on: May 27, 2007, 06:51:39 AM
I would say RMIT is a 40% yes - 40% maybe - 20%no
not to sure

29  Regional / Australasia / Re: Victoria on: May 25, 2007, 06:47:18 AM
I see your point chris, but take a look at north american, europe and others, and see the activity in them, i think the state ones would have a lot more activity then all of them put together.

Seppo, i know that advertising UT on yahoo has made a ruckess, but it has made this forum noticed in AUS. Whats happening in other countries??

I like how the main reason i created this post
I am suprised each state doesnt have its own topic/post board. its good to chat to those in your state and could definantly make organising things alot easier.

hasnt actually had any replies. Comon people who doesn't want to have casual throws, specially now since the weather will be in the 20's

30  Regional / Australasia / Re: UNI Games Tiering debate on: May 25, 2007, 06:41:10 AM
LOL you are targeting probably one of the poorest sectors of the general population - not only are they uni students; they are also Ultimate players. You had to see this coming.

Lol, true
