1  General / Ulti Talk / The first disc sport newsletter now online (IFA 1968-1975) on: March 17, 2011, 02:27:16 PM
Dear Disc Sport Folk....around the globe,

Just yesterday the last of the 20 issues of International Frisbee Association newsletters were posted on the MDSC / State Historical Society of Missouri webpage (issues 1-3,10).

To say a complete set of IFA newsletters is "rare" is an understatement.

Only MDSC and one private collector are known to have complete sets of this rare Wham-O publication.

IFA Newsletters 1-20 ...Dig it >> http://whmc.umsystem.edu/mdsc/ifa-newsletter.shtml

Tell your teammates and competitors about this unique disc sport resource. And feel free to encourage your club to add MDSC to your website's list of disc sport related websites.

Sincerely,
Peter McCarthy

Look for MDSC on Facebook and become a friend.

Also tell your real-world friends about MDSC.....especially those disc sport folk getting a bit long in the tooth.

Columbia ultimate has always been enthused about this tourney (Mike Houston's and many other MUtants creation several years back).
But for the first time since the mid-1980s a tourney is being held in our town's main sports complex. Sweet fields, in town. Dig it.

FF 28 is live....note the poor quality of issues 1-3 & 10. These newsletters are a pretty fun read.

Plz pass along to any fellow disc sport enthusiasts in your neck of the woods...also plz mention MDSC to your favorite webmaster....and have she/he consider adding MDSC to their list of disc sports links.

Dear Disc Sport Folks,

As many of you know, MDSC enjoys hyping the weekly Frisbee Friday posting a couple days out.

Since we are going into the July 4th holiday weekend here in the US, plus WUCC is happening in the Czech Republic....  we wanted to dig deep for something special.

We're going to give the athletes and spectators in Prague something to read there on the sidelines.

Look for FF 27 Thurs.

9  General / Ulti Talk / Re: anybody throw a 3-fingered flick? on: May 20, 2010, 10:27:14 AM
Fingers vary in size of course...but i can't imagine using a 3 finger flick / forehand myself.

If a new player is over the age of 10 or 12 I'd definitely recommend starting with the 2 finger approach.
