1  Regional / Australasia / Re: Proposed u23 World Championships on: September 14, 2009, 01:09:39 AM
The plan at the moment for u23 selection in Australia is to announce selectors for the u23 teams in the next few days. There will be a subset of the two selection committees at AUGs and they will be involved in selecting the Green and Gold team. There will also be a mixed exhibition game on Wednesday (North vs South) for u23 team hopefuls.

I expect that the first training camp for the u23 teams will be in January, but we will have to wait for the appointment of the head coaches for that information to be more than speculation. The application process for the head coaches will start in the next week or so.

All we need now is for WFDF to announce the tournament. :-)

if you registered your interest do you have to play in the game at aug's?

They, and AU/USA, would have been informed upon registering that they will be in Division 2.

dont think they will like that..hahahahah

. It will be interesting to see how they go a girl down after Emma Kiel gets put out of commission from being an insatiable trashbag boozehound before the first game.

thanks moroney...ill give you credit for that but might take one for the team this year and not be an insatiable trashbag boozegound..
gold medal is on the cards

5  Regional / Australasia / Re: The Road to Gold Coast: 2009 uni ultimate on: June 23, 2009, 09:16:31 AM
Southerns has Flinders (x2), Latrobe, Deakin, Monash, Melbourne and Ballarat.

so does that mean that everyone will play everyone?
or whatttt>?

Flinders' chances hang on joel pillar. If he plays well, they play well. Otherwise their depth is kinda lacking.
No depth? Do you know how many Flinders players played Nationals this year? ALL OF THEM.

not all of us did
but most likely over half
we will be a force to be rekoned with i think

10  Regional / Australasia / Re: The Road to Gold Coast: 2009 uni ultimate on: May 20, 2009, 03:11:51 AM
At this stage it's looking unlikely that Adelaide Uni will be able to field a team at SUG due to lack of interest/availability. If this is to be the case it will be bitterly disappointing. Sad
how devo rodes

Indeed. Should have a pretty strong AUG team though so at least that's something.

stronger than last year?
i hope we get to play you again and beat you again

13  Regional / Australasia / Re: AUC Perth 2009 (The Important Bit) - The Nationals Party! on: March 27, 2009, 12:57:19 AM
where are teams staying etc..ive gotta organise accommodation and dont know where anything is in perth..is it better to stay in the city or near the beach or what

Website says they have a shuttle bus running from the CBD to the fields and back each day, so city accomodation will be handy.

Kings hotel, one of the hotels reccomended on the Aussienats2009.com.au site is fairly central in the city (about 1km walk to shuttle bus). Most of Umlaut are staying there. A few of us have booked a seperate apartment for four days in building with pool, spa, sauna to help relax!

Cheers
Stafa

How expensive is that, I have a quote from the Mountway Apartments on Mount St in East Perth that is about $50 a night..is this one cheaper
