I would love to start a post with different events or techniques that people had on recruiting mainly in the college scene.
I would love to hear some new ideas on what different programs do to recruit players.
Ive been a college coach for a while at a very small school in MO. We have small student body, little resources and such.
Has any body had experience with an event that promoted Ultimate on campus? Any body seen some awesome ways to promote Ultimate on campuses?
Im not talking about hanging flyers, sending emails, Facebook groups and such; I would love to at least get a running list of ideas for everyone to read and try out at their respective schools.
Thanks,
If we can get a nice list it would help Ultimate around the world.

2. Club Team league that is run in the few weeks before intramurals get going
3. Playing random pickup games on campus and just inviting anyone that joined in

I actually have freshers week coming up next week. My Uni team are currently having sessions everyday that are aimed at teaching new people about the sport, they're designed so any1 can just join in and start playing (ie experienced dont keep to themselves and help people out, ask questions people may have etc etc). We do this outside the university accomodation (not out of the way!) This way people can see whats going on and, instead of being bored in their rooms, come out and join in.

We also had a charity day on campus and we were allowed to create our own kind of stall and do whatever we like with it. So we had something similar to a coconut shy but with frisbees. It got people talking to us about ultimate and we didnt have to look like we were pestering them to joining the society (and its for charity... A win win win situation; an (american) office fan may say).
