It's been around 3 years since ultimate came to our home town. Now we have 3 teams, but ours is the oldest and has the most experienced players.  Officially I am coaching the team, and I'm doing fine with the newbies, but I'm having troubles organizing effective and systematic training for more experienced players.  We have already learned things like stack and force.  I can see our goal, but I don't have a clear vision of the path to achieve this goal. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I'm sorry but you didn't really tell us the goal so it will be hard to point you to it. Is the goal more organized and effective training? If thats the case then you need to tell us the training you do now so we can suggest other things.

Here are the goals I would like to achieve:
1) teach the players to concentrate on disk possession rather than intensively pushing it towards the end zone.  Here it would mean using the dump all the time.
2) teach the players a couple of effective offensive tactics (7 on 7) - I am looking for something pretty simple for the beginning.

I have found a nice practice schedule for beginners:

Now I am looking for something similar, but at a more advanced level.

For 1) try to have a "No thirty yards, and no forward throws past stall 7 game.  Basically if a player breaks either of those, it's a turn, even if it's caught etc.  If you really want to hammer that in, couple it with a pushups game, 5-10 pushups on every turn over.

2) what do you run now?  Do you run a stack, Isolation plays or anything like that already?

Try the Ulti handbook, which is an excellent resource with slightly dated but still useful flash demos:

I posted more useful links here to the Philly web site:

Do you mean players may not throw deeper than 30 yards at all, and may not make forward throws within the first 7 seconds?

We use stack for offense and force for defense, but we don't use any role tactics.  We tried to learn a couple, but they turned out to be too complicated to orchestrate in real games.  I'm going to try Breakforce Breakout as described here: http://www.zepps.lt/tipstricks/vertical
I had no idea what is isolation play, but I just looked it up.  We'll practice that for sure.  Thanks for the tip.

The first part is correct, any throw past thirty yards is a turn over, the second part is reversed, within the first 7 seconds they can make forward throws, but they have to dump after that.  Just start building that habit up.
