For all those interested in Ultimate history and how the sport is perceived in the media.

This is a collection of rare and hard to find videos of Ultimate on American TV shows and news programs since the birth of the sport. It's odd how popular freestyle and other forms of Frisbee used to be before being replaced by Ultimate and Frisbee golf.

A post about coverage of Ultimate in other countries will follow.

Hope you guys enjoy this!

If this is part of your effort to collect a whole bunch of ultimate frisbee related content, you might consider getting a URL and some hosting so you can put it all into a nice website. Can just be Wordpress based, but it would make it a lot more convenient for people to find etc. Something like ultimatefrisbeedepot.com or something?

Yup, that is definitely something I'm considering. Right now I'm just getting my feet wet with blogging in general. But so far it's been good. Eventually I do want to get my own site.

Sweet collection huanga!  Those videos are classic!  I love the commentary in the first one:

"A well thrown frisbee should be well caught."

Too right!  Cheesy

The main thing about blogging is to keep your information ideas going. So you don't end up talking about how your cat ate your dog and other boring shit no-one really cares about. I have found that having a topic that you are enthusiastic about combined with planning ahead a little (small list of optional topics to discuss) can work wonders. Also, I usually schedule my blodposts so they become available even if I'm not at my PC at that time. This also allows me to write a bunch of them at once when I have the drive.

Your blog is pretty cool I have to admit, I've been showing quite some posts to friends etc, so keep up keeping up the good work! You are making a great start to having a whole bunch of interesting ultimate related posts so that if you ever want to host it all on a separate site you've got a ton of content already, which is really good.

Thanks guys for all your input, it'll definitely help me go forward with the blog.

I totally agree with you Jesse. I started the blog with a random mix of topics. Funny videos, Michael Jordan, etc. But it wasn't until I focused on Ultimate that I really got my creative juices flowing and saw good comments and a spike in traffic. So I guess what I'm doing works and I'll just keep going with it.

Right now I've got a couple of final exams coming up, so I might be quiet for the next week or so, but not much more than that.
