Hey guys! This is my second year on a team for ultimate frisbee and was just wondering if the Nike keystone low baseball cleats were a bad choice. Lips sealed

my opininon on baseball cleats are that I think they would not allow you a great cleat to cut and shift your weight as fast as necessary in Ultimate.
I know some guys who play in baseball cleats but mainly because they already own a pair.
IMO, football or soccer cleats, maybe lacrosse, cleats are the way to go in Ultimate. Now it depends on your style of play and if you have weak ankles or not.
Soccer cleats: will allow quicker cuts, while sacrificing some support
Football cleats: offer better support, slightly sacrificing speed but there are some great football cleats that are very fast (any FB cleat designed for WR/RB)
Lacrosse: from what I have seen, most of these are designed like football cleats so I am assuming they would be very similar

thats my opinion, so make sure and get some more first

I do not recommend using a baseball cleat.

I'd recommend you go read the cleat thread since it has been covered extensively.

My opinion which you wont see in that thread because I hadn't gotten/worn them yet but the Nike Super Speed D Low 2 is THE BEST cleat for ultimate. Just as light as any soccer cleat I've ever worn and I played for 14 years so I had a few pairs, super comfortable, more supportive, and since they are for WR they are designed for cutting. Unfortunately from what I can tell on Nike's site they don't make it any more. So I would look at the Super Speed D Low or the new vapor jets.

Baseball cleats are just a bad idea, they are big and clunky and heavy and designed for running in a straight line.
