The two teams that would meet in the finals of the mixed division would be the respective top finishers of the two pools of 11 teams each. The German team would take down Austria 12-9 in quarters and Australia 13-5 in semis.

Before the game, both teams agreed to showcase to the world both the best competition but also the best spirit. Many considered this the best game of the weekend.

Being on the Australian mixed team, and getting to play the German team twice during the tournament, from my mind they were definitely the stand out team of the tournament and great ambassadors for ultimate.

Despite finishing second (and I think most would agree they didn't play their best game in that final) yet still managing to win spirit is an absolutely amazing result and goes to show that you can be a champion team without needing to sacrifice respect for your opposition and sportsmanship.

I have seriously never played a team like it, that was so dominant, yet so hard to fault when it came to spirit.
