So lots of people are throwing around the term "pro frisbee" but let's face it, the AUDL is definitely not going to generate any players a living so from my perspective no one can then be classed as a "professional" frisbee player...

That said, whilst the majority of players will be "compensated" I'd be interested to know if there are players who are being "paid to play" be it a performance bonus, a weekly salary, whatever. I'd be surprised if there weren't at least a few players in the league...

They getting all their playing expenses paid for - that's for sure. This in itself will amount of thousands of dollars in transport, accommodation, food, fields, jerseys, referees, etc

It just remains to be seen if some players will be compensated more than just their playing expenses.

From what I have heard, the majority of teams won't be paying any players in the 2012 season, but there are a couple of teams that may pay a few of their players.

I also know that a few teams are opting for a profit share arrangement with players if the games sell well as well as splitting the $10,000 prize that's on offer for winning the league.
