So I think a lot of players are interested to know that if they are a part of an AUDL team what expectations would be placed on them? What commitments would they have? would there be additional commitments outside of playing games and attending training? Will AUDL teams be flexible with other ultimate commitments?

From my understanding, once a player is under ownership, they're employed by their respective teams owners.  So, the AUDL should be the standard.  But also, do you think that a professional ultimate player would want to compete at a club level when they're the standard in the highest level of ultimate?  Also, from reading several different websites, it seems like teams will be actively promoting the sport within their respective communities.

In Indianapolis we expect this from our players. First the players will be under contract. Second we understand that at this time the actual amount of money they will be making isn't enough to meet their individual financial needs, so we all understand at the outset this is simuliar to the NLL (National LaCrosse League) where this is a part time job. The players will be expected to play the entire AUDL season and allow them to freely play in there spare time. We did not schedule any games during poultry days and expect most of players and coaches will probably participate in this event. We also allow players once the season ends to disperse to their club teams which we want them to compete in successfully. Yes the risk we lose a player to injury while attending another event is a possibility, but we feel we must be as flexible as the players are in a start up venture.

Furthermore our players are expected to attend practice give the maximum effort at all times promoting a positive image of both the team and league. They will have obligations of promoting the team and our local ultimate community. We expect them to continue to be supportive of USAU. We will have events that give them chances to serve the community and we especially hope to make the promotion of High School Ultimate a priority in the Central Indiana area.

Lastly I don't believe this is anything more than both the organization and players hope to accomplish in year one. The gentlemen that have attended the events we've held have been smart and hard working. Each player canidate seems to have a strong grasp of what is trying to be accomplished and the effort they extend each time is inspiring! They will do a fine job of representing our organization, Indianapolis, and the Ultimate "community" (despite what the naysayers they will exceed expectations).

That is what they are expected to do and if you talk to them I think they will share with you that is there intentions.
