Hi guys,

I'm going into the second year on the Ultimate Frisbee team at my college. I played frisbee in a league this last summer but I'm hoping to condition myself even more for the Fall season but I want my conditioning to be something simple that I can do during my non-practice days. My college holds frisbee practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I also do P90x and integrate the lifting workouts into my non-practice days. I was thinking about doing some type of short high intensity interval training workout on the trendmill to accompany my p90x lifting workouts. Does this sound good? Do you guys have any suggestions? I would really appreciate any type of comments. I'm hoping to drastically improve my athleticism so any suggestions would be great. And if this information helps, I play the cutter position.

It sounds like you're already getting in enough conditioning.  From what I understand, p90x has a lot of higher intensity circuit training and body weight exercises, correct?

Instead of adding high intensity interval training on top of what you're already doing, I'd recommend adding some higher intensity strength training instead.  By higher intensity I mean bigger weights.

Adding strength will drastically improve your athleticism and durability on the ultimate field.  Looks like you've already got the conditioning covered so adding more of that will only get you incremental improvements in athleticism at this point.
