OK, so I have had several times at intermurals games throwing players who do the "jump throw," basically a side jump or a vertical jump to get height or distance around a marker. Of course I know this is wrong, and of course, I am playing in a league where multiple rulesets (modifications off of USA Ultimate's rulesets, perhaps older ones) have been used. Their claim is that during the jump they haven't recontacted the ground, so they haven't technically broken a "pivot."  Roll Eyes

Just so I can get back to all players and get this cleared up, according to the current ruleset, it is traveling to jump and throw a disc as a pass, even if you throw it before you recontact the ground?

Thanks!

Read section II paragraph m or section XVI paragraph J.  It is clear cut.  Once a pivot is established, a jump throw is a travel.
