Australian UTers...

Due to the Australian UT board having so much activity, we decided to add child boards to allow for further categorization.  Hopefully this will help when searching or posting on a particular subject.

The child boards are as follows:

  • General: A board for general ultimate or non-ultimate discussions.
  • National: A board for national based discussions.
  • Regional: A board for state/territory based discussions.
  • University: A board for university based discussions.
  • Juniors: A board for junior/youth based discussions.

Cheers!

When you used to click on "Australia" you could see all the recent posts that had activity - now you have to go into the Child boards for each category.

Is there a way of bringing back the recently posted list to the bottom of the Australia board?

Personally I think it is unnecessary to split into child forums. There have been a handful of active threads in the last 2 weeks. Why make the users go to a different forum for each different thread?? It will definitely make my use/browsing of ultitalk decline.

Rachel's just angry because we keep losing in hat.

It's her fault, she hucks straight to the opposition's Fakulti players!

Although I like the idea of these boards being split to make it easier to read through all the posts people are making, I don't think there's enough traffic here to warrant it.

Although if it makes it easier for you moderators, I'm not complaining: fragmented ultimate forums > no ultimate forems.

Hey Aussie UTers...

Well, we thought splitting the Australia board into child boards would be beneficial, but perhaps we were mistaken.  Although we've already jumped the gun, we can go back to one single Australia board.

Let's see what the majority feels.  We've started a poll at the top of this post regarding this change.  Please submit your vote by October 10 and we'll go with the majority vote.

Cheers!

I don't see the point, it is confusing and rather useless...bring back one easy board!

And so it goes. The Aussies have spoken, and their voice was loud and clear!

Australia has been moved back to one single board.  Smiley

Thanks to those who voted and voiced their opinion.

Cheers!

Cool

Those categories would still be useful as filters for the posts if that was possible

Damnit, I only found out the forums had been split last night. I come to check it out today and its already reverted back!

I still voted for single board, down with subforums!
