Hi all,

I'll be doing photography again at Nationals this year, and figured I'd ask you, the players, for any feedback/suggestions on what you expect/like.  The tyranny of distance and budgets do prevent an all singing, all dancing service with loads of coverage (1 photographer, 12 fields) and on-site services (I'm not lugging a printer along this time), but I'm hoping to focus on what worked last year and provide something effective.  I'm also aware that the UltiTalk crowd is more fanatical about their frisbee, and not necessarily a representative sample of the Nationals players. Smiley

In addition to general feedback, I'm interested in knowing...
1) Of the people who bought photos, were you happy with the turnaround time, delivery, price, communication, print quality, digital service, formats available (especially the custom border) etc?  I'm thinking of outsourcing the printing this time around, which will affect price, turnaround time etc
2) Are people happy with the gallery layout for finding/viewing photos online? ( http://digitalarts.mindsocket.com.au/gallery2/v/events/nationals2007/ )
3) Should there be more/less of a particular type of image (throwing, catching, action, social/atmosphere, team photos, ...)

There are often reasons for why certain things are as they are, but with any luck your suggestions will be something I can take on.

Cheers,
- Rog

I was very happy with the photos I bought last year, and I thought the service, cost and turn around times were all fairly reasonable.

I think while the social photos and team area photos are good for a quick look, people tend to more enjoy seeing great action shots of themselves. Or maybe that's just me...

I was just a admirer of Ultimate back last Nats.
But I saw all the photos and I thought they were all fine. More layouts would be good but I know they are hard to catch Wink
In all I think its all fine the way it was in '07.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Lex.

Thanks all for the feedback, it is much appreciated.

I always try to get the layouts, but other people have indicated they like to see good shots of throws and cuts.  I'll do what I can Wink

Back to packing, cyall there!

Farmer, the new cam does 6.5 frames per sec, the old one does 5.  I used both throughout the tourney for various reasons (the main one being not getting mud/rain on the new gear Wink )

Chris, I hope to have the photos online in a week or so.  There's a hell of a lot of 'em.

Cheers,
