Apparently Semi's are Vintage v Spider Pig and Kaboom v FAF. YOUUU lost to FAF in quarters.

There goes my Vintage v Spider Pig in the final prediction!

The YOUUUU v Faf game would've been interesting - very much an old v young game and experience won out (perhaps not surprisingly)

Yep Vintage took out the final easy, 15 - 8 or something along those lines.
Roshambo for 3rd/4th.

And yes Rubi beat us in the 17/18th playoff, UQ really didn't have the heart in that game. Although the earlier one vs. hand of god, we had 3 girls fit due to injuries and work commitments and had to play 6 v 7 a large part of the time, but ended up taking it out 15-8. yeah lovers.

The draw was interesting. We won 1 game on Saturday to finish 2nd in the pool, then had a forfeit Sunday morning to end up in the 9-12 pool and ended up 12th. So we basically won 1 game to finish 12th.

I would like to see 4 pools of 6 to start with, although I'll admit that I haven't thought the entire process through much. A quick go at it ended up with 10 games instead of 9.

So from what I can gather (which you will quickly see isn't much).

Sugoi
Vintage (Undefeated)
Faff
Yoooouuu! (Undefeated)
Smurf
Miniature Horses
Kaboom A (ACT - Possibly Undefeated?)
Spider Pig

You will notice number one seeds mind the gap are out. They were beaten by Sugoi by about 5 points. Pie wagon knocked out by faff

*clears throat* Pie Wagon knocked out by SMURF! 15-14 baby!

My younger brother was disappointed with that one. He really wanted to win it. Grin

So I have two questions

1) What were the final standings? (so I can see how wrong my predictions were)
2) If Mixed Nats 09 was in Ballarat, would anyone actually come?

You would get all of the teams trying out for world clubs at least? Canberra would hire a coach and bus down like Coffs this year.

Well it is South's turn in 2009, and there's thoughts of Ballarat or Geelong putting in a bid. Not sure if SAFDA or TUA are having thoughts.

I thought too many northerners were still scarred from the shithouse weather we put on in 2006.
