I'm looking for offensive strategies for 5 vs 5 ultimate. We tend to play horizontal with either 3 handler/2cutters or 2 handlers/2cutters and a 5th player acting as swing or cutter depending how the play evolves.  Does anyone have any input on this topic?

Cheers!

I would always play two handlers and have three downfield cutters. Have a wing and a deep plus one secondary. Plan being to catch the pull, pass to the opposite handler, then to the wing who hucks it to the deep.

Running a horo is a smart idea, 5v5 being a smaller game opening up the short and long passing lanes is paramount to success

Another play might be an isolation or domination (name depends on what continent you are playing on). Get your most atheletic guy and call him as the dude (feld, focus whatever), then set up in a formation that looks like a 5 off a die (one that you roll and has the numbers 1 to 6 on it). The handlers pop the disc up the field a little way, then they look to hit the dude. The dude has tons of space and because he is the best player on the team, should get the disc in any position he wants. He then looks to put it to either of the guys in the endzone.
