Fakulti have now been runners up four of the last five years and must be getting sick of losing finals.

Do you think Fakulti should forget about the two evenly split teams and just try and win with one strong team - surely they would be unbeatable if they did this?

Imagine standing on the line in the final, with your hand up, facing from left to right...

Yes, but possibly not unbeatable. Just really really good.

No real difference to facing chilly really when they shove on a good line. i mean you can shut them down you just need a good team that is willing to run hard and all game.

K, you'll have to explian NUFL to me, and then why not have them play, that would be an awesome game to watch.
Is it me or is australia like the only forum that has regular posts. we have 181 posts and 9 topics, closest is north america, but they have 16 posts with 6 topics. GO AUSSIES

Well I have personally never been to NUFL, but I plan to play this year.

My understanding (and please someone correct me if I'm wrong) is that NUFL (National Ultimate Frisbee League) is a more refined comp having very limit positions available (at this stage I believe it is 6) so for example instead of QLD sending two teams to Nationals we now are only allowed to send 1, the same applies to the Eastern and Southern States where they, might normally be able to send 3 or 4 strong teams from the state they are forced to send 2. This often leaves players from states like WA and SA to have to pick up on other teams. From my understand the biggest difference is it is played like a league rather than a championship where the idea is to gain as many points as possible over the course of the NUFL events, which there is normally three of.

So basically it is a higher level competition that is run over 3 weekends and rewards the most consistent team not just the team on the day.

There is also a site for it: http://www.nufl.com.au

I think of all the regions Australia is the only one which treats ultitalk as the main forum for communicating between players.

Americans have RSD (http://groups.google.com/group/rec.sport.disc/topics?lnk=lr) - which has 49000+ topics

In all serious though why doesn't AFDA just integrate a forums into the site? You'd have quite a few people willing to contribute to the forums and site if they set it up...

So are NUFL places allocated on state basis (1 per state), or by their finishing position at Nationals?

And does anyone know where the 3 rounds are going to be held this year?
