I need to clarify these doubts that i have.

If a defender manage to deflect the frisbee, and the frisbee is hanging in midair for a few seconds and the same person attempts to catch the frisbee and fails to catch it, and it drops to the ground, who is awarded the frisbee?

There are two scenarios related to the above which i am unsure of.

*When the person attempts to catch the frisbee, fails to catch it and didnt touch the frisbee at all for the 2nd time, and the frisbee drops to the ground.

and

*When the person attempts to catch the frisbee, come in to contact with the frisbee but fails to catch the frisbee, and the frisbee drops to the ground.

Thank you!!!!

Hey normanau,

Welcome to UltiTalk!  Smiley

Regarding your inquiry, in that situation the disc would transfer to possession of the Defensive team.  Although the defender deflected the frisbee and then tried to catch it but failed, he never had full control of the disc.  There for it is considered the same as a blocked disc.

Both of your * examples would result in the same thing (as mentioned above).  The defense would be awarded the disc.

Hope that helps.
