Yo.  Anyone got suggestions?  My Nike Vapors are ready to die, and it's time to gear up for the Spring season.  I've been a big fan of my Mecurial Vapors due to their cleat design and lightness, but with so many cleats out on the market these days I don't want to overlook anything.  I mean, even Under Armour is making cleats these days.  Shocked

I've had a pair of Gaia in the past, but was not a fan.  Of course, they have the new G4 model out now which I haven't yet tried.

Also, I found this post on the VUL forum, which was helpful:

http://www.vul.bc.ca/v3/forum/forum_message_display.cfm?FirstMessageID=21936

I guess I should mention I'm looking for a firm to medium-firm turf type of cleat (not hard turf).  You know, something with some depth.  An "all-around" type cleat, if you will.

Giddeeup.  Cool

- Seppooooooooooooo

P.S.  Oh yeah, I've also had a pair of the Adidas Copia Mundal in the past.  Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet shoe, but I think I prefer the blade design.  Hmmmm......  Huh

I have heard good things about vapors, so if you liked them you should proabaly keep them (getting a new pair) because you already know their strengths and weaknesses, and you should be able to take advantage of that.  I too am needing cleats though, so if I find something I like I will let you know.

I'm sticking with my loyal custom made Pumas. Having a size 16 foot doesn't really leave you spoiled for choice.

I'm currently wearing a pair of Vapor Jets as well. Great pair of cleats!

Asics make some great cleats which are very popular in Aus but I don't think you can get them in America too easily.

Depending on how often you would be wearing them I've read some comments from people complaining that Mercurial Vapors just aren't comfortable enough to be worn several times a week. I know a few guys who have a pair purely for tournaments and other more comfortable cleats for trainings, leagues etc.

Also owned a pair of Nike Speed TDs before my Vapors, but they were the ones before this current model which some people seem to dislike due to the higher ankle support

Pissy; you should buy your shoes off the internet. People with size 14+ feet get some ridiculously cheap shoes once the lower sizes are sold out.

Speed TDs are comfortable and have great traction.

Yo!

A buddy just informed of this new LACELESS cleat by Lotto.  Check it out:

http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail/module--unknown/action--view/cm--54428/supercat--shoes/model_nbr--72197/sku--74-3927/id--54428/mvp--sport/

At USD$250 it had better be real good (and especially not fall off my foot).

Huh

Where?

How do you know?

I'm size 15 and know of no such phenomena.

Please explain...
