I haven't been playing Ultimate for very long, and one problem I've been having is when I'm chasing a cutter (usually going deep), I hear the "Up" call, look back for the disc usually not finding it right away, lose some ground on the person I'm defending while looking back, and usually don't get to the disc in time.

So after hearing the up call, should I continue chasing my oppenent and then look back at the last second (which can backfire if your oppenent misreads the disc or if the disc is not even thrown to him), OR should I look back towards the disc as soon as I hear the up call, and try to make a read on the disc (perhaps losing a bit speed while doing so)? I'm guessing that after I hear the up call, I should glance back and make a quick read while chasing my oppenent the best as I can. So what do YOU do in a situation like that, or what do you think is the best way to do it?

I thought I had checked The Huddle, but I must've missed it. Thanks a lot, those articles cover it quite well. Smiley
